World Birding Center

The News Room is an online resource for journalists to learn about the World Birding Center’s programs and conservation efforts to protect habitat while increasing the understanding and appreciation of birds and wildlife.

The World Birding Center is a partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, U.S. Fish and Wildlife and the communities of Roma, Mission, McAllen, Hidalgo, Edinburg, Weslaco, Harlingen, Brownsville and South Padre Island.

The World Birding Center relies on your support to help spread the news about outdoor recreation opportunities for families, tourists and birders. The network of nine unique birding sites in the Lower Rio Grande Valley serves as special places for learning and discovery…and a voice for conservation.
